It's the time when everyone's home,
It's cold outside but we pretend we don't know,
As we bask by the fiery glow,
And think of all the things we've done this year.

All the kids are writing out their lists,
Though i'm older I also do this,
Ignore the mistletoe avoid the kiss,
Be grateful for all the things we have right here...

The snow outside will be alright,
If we stay together despite the weather,
And hope that our future's as bright,
As those sparkling Christmas lights.

The decorations are the stories told,

And the ones we made when we weren't old,

We remember all the people we miss,
It's always harder around Christmas,
If I had one wish it would be this,
